What you can do with ApexAV
You are evaluating ApexAV, or you just got access and want the lay of the land. This page explains what the platform covers and how the pieces fit together, one level above the step-by-step guides. Each section links to a deeper doc for when you are ready to do the thing rather than read about it.
The short version: your AV operation probably runs on eight browser tabs and one person's memory. ApexAV is the one place it actually lives. The work in flight, the rooms in the field, the documents, and every change with a timestamp. Your team works in it and leadership reads it. Partners get exactly their slice.
How work flows through ApexAV
AV work moves in the same order everywhere: you plan it, you install it, you watch what you installed, and then you support it. ApexAV is organized around that flow.
In the app, that flow is the left navigation. Here is the map:

Projects in ApexAV
A project is the workspace for one job. It holds the task lists (with prerequisites and assignees), the budget, the equipment bill of materials as it moves from spec through commissioned, the documents, and one discussion thread that your team and your assigned partners share. Project governance is built in, so change orders and submittals stay on the record, and a recap is waiting when the project closes.

Field operations in ApexAV
Field work runs from a phone. A technician proposes visit dates, you approve or counter-propose, and the tech marks on-site when they arrive. Photos taken on site file into the project on their own, and the visit closes with an outcome of Done, Partial, or Blocked, so you know what actually happened out there.

Room and device monitoring in ApexAV
The Infrastructure area shows live room and device health, pulled in automatically from the platforms you already run. Cisco Control Hub and Logitech Sync connectors are live today, and a lightweight on-site agent bridges Mersive pods. Firmware flags mark any unit older than the newest of its kind you own, so behind-fleet devices surface themselves instead of hiding in a spreadsheet.

Rooms and room checks in ApexAV
Every room gets its own workspace. Recurring room checks run on a cadence, overdue first, with the full check trail kept. Scheduled pre-flight checks email a pass or fail before the meeting starts. Each room also carries its tech sheet, its equipment, and a line diagram you can draw and export. Plain-language notes write themselves onto every room card, and usage analytics show which rooms earn their gear.

Licenses and credentials in ApexAV
License renewals and credentials are tracked with alerts before they lapse, so a renewal is a line item instead of a surprise. Companies track platform licenses in the Licenses area; partners keep their own credentials current in their portal.

Reporting in ApexAV
The status update becomes a link, not a meeting. The leadership dashboard puts portfolio health, the projects that are sliding, and the rooms that are down on a single screen you can forward instead of building a deck. Reports also cover partner performance, reschedule reasons, and monthly trends, and every closed project leaves a retrospective behind.

Partner collaboration in ApexAV
This is the part the platform is built around: it gets better the second you add a partner. Bring an integrator into a project and they get a workspace scoped to their work, in their own portal, walled off per client. You decide what they see and touch, feature by feature, at View, Work, or Manage. Invites are single-use, they propose and you approve, and everyone reads the same record.
Start with Invite a partner to a project. Partners can orient with First login as a partner, and the full permission model is in Roles and access.
The audit trail in ApexAV
Every create, update, and delete lands in an append-only log with who, when, and what changed, and nothing can edit history. When a review or an audit comes around, the evidence has been collecting itself the whole time, and it exports as CSV in one click.
