Project documents

Every project detail page has a Documents tab that lists the files on that project. This page states what the tab shows and who can see or change the files. Revision control is not shipped yet; see On the roadmap.

What the Documents tab shows

One row per file, newest first.

ColumnContents
FileThe original file name as uploaded
TitleThe label given at upload (defaults to the file name)

Where project files come from

Files attach to the record they belong to, not to a general inbox.

  • Direct project uploads appear in the project's Documents tab. The upload limit is 50 MB per file.
  • Visit photos and video that a partner captures during an onsite visit attach to that visit and are viewed from the visit record. See Mark a visit on-site, then done.
  • Equipment attachments (spec sheets, submittal files) attach to the equipment item and are viewed on that item.

Who can see and change files

ActionWho
View and downloadEvery signed-in member of your workspace, including Auditor and Viewer
Add or remove project filesOwner, Administrator, Project Manager, Field Operations
Partner uploadsPartners attach files through their own scoped surfaces (visit reports, equipment they service), never through your Documents tab

Uploads and deletions are recorded in the audit log.

On the roadmap

Revision control (every version kept, the latest marked current), engineer sign-off gates before a file becomes client-visible, per-file change logs, and one-click closeout bundles are planned but not shipped. The public [roadmap](https://apexavcloud.com/roadmap) tracks delivery. Until then, treat the Documents tab as a flat, current-copy file list.
